NWS High Wind Warning is in effect for much of Colorado today and the winds have not disappointed. A gust of 100mph was observed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs at 11:18am. Most gusts are in the 60-80mph range but much higher gusts have been recorded today the highest reading so far comes out of Prowers CO with a gust of 107mph!!! Winds have also been gusting upwards of 90mph near the City of Boulder. Hold onto your hat today or it may end up in Kansas.
